This past weekend was not only Seafair, it was the 11th Annual KWJZ Smooth Jazz Festival out at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville. My mom and I attended the festival on Saturday and had a blast.
You can read my full review of the events which included shows by Nils, Marian Meadows, Wayman Tisdale and The Crusaders at my main blog.
Thanks to KWJZ for putting such an awesome event! Although my mom has been to both days several times in past years, this was my first time. And next year, I’m going to both days! If you’re in Seattle and you love good music, you should check it out next year too.
In the arena,

The Big Idea by Annie on September 7th, 2007
Is it just me, or does it seem like higher priced homes are selling faster than those in the median price range?
Up in my neck of the woods, we have several newer developments where homes are priced at or above $650,000 and several where homes are in the $300,000 range. Yet, it seems like those large, fancy ones are selling better.
I wonder if it’s because people are tired of living in sardine can neighborhoods? Or is it because those folks with enough money to be considered “well-off” aren’t having as much financial crunch as those average folks?
Any thoughts? I’d love to hear what you think.

This isn’t a political blog and generally, I don’t really share my views with anyone but perhaps my husband. However, I just watched an incredible video that I feel compelled to share especially given the topic of yesterday’s post.
You may have noticed a small icon above here in support of Ron Paul and this video also gives you a glimpse as to why I believe in Dr. Paul.
Here’s the video
I encourage to watch it, think about the current issues in the news and really try to understand just what the long term effects are if the current policies are not changed quickly. It’s imperative that every adult in America who is legally eligible to vote, do so.
Our country depends on it - Our future generations - - depend on it.
OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN
Until next time,

This blog is about to get a whole lot better! Until now, I’ve not really had much of a posting schedule - I just posted whenever and whatever I felt like posting at the moment. Well, beginning Monday, that is changing.
I’ve decided to get more serious about this blog and have created a schedule to that end:
Monday - Local Market. I’ll be posting on things happening in the Greater Seattle area in the Real Estate market.
Tuesday - National Trends. Things that are happening on a national scale which affect real estate in general. This might be mortgage related, bank related or could even be government related. It could be news or opinion.
Wednesday - Investing. Things affecting the investors market including thoughts, opinions, ideas, networking, marketing and the like.
Thursday - Living in the Pacific Northwest. My favorite places, things to do, social events, sports, music, theater - whatever!
Friday - Recap of the week/Marketing. Recap of top stories I’ve read or covered and etc. I’ll also post marketing tips for real estate professionals on occasion.
Saturday/Sunday - Future Trends & Thoughts. What I think might be happening over the long-haul in the RE arena. I’ll also share my thoughts on other topics, post fun pictures or cartoons and whatever else I think you might enjoy.
I hope you will find these things useful. Feel free to comment, make suggestions, etc as well as subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you’ll know as soon as something is posted.
Hope you’re having a great Sunday! See you tomorrow when I’ll be posting on what is happening in the Seattle area market.
